Being part of this amazing blogging community can be so very rewarding. This past week Marilyn's Design Studio included me in her Stylish Blogger Award.  Thank you so much Marilyn! I am humbled!

I would like to continue this by sharing 7 things about myself and then also awarding 7 other bloggers myself.

So, here are 7 RANDOM things you all do not know about me:

Everyone that knows me would say that I am always eating and talking about my food and I won't try and dispute that claim.  It is one thing that brings me comfort and joy (waist expanding now) so I always look forward to any meal.  I especially enjoy anything that is salty and I love cakes and pastries.
Bread's are my weekness!

 Ok, I'm not from an Island but I was raised in Florida so I love the coast and my perfect idea of any vacation is being isolated on a island or any beach soaking up the sun in a little tunic with my favorite  magazines. My top three island destinations to visit would be Anquilla, St. Lucia and Fiji... 

champagne taste

So I have this bad issue.  I was born with champagne taste on a beer budget and I have this insatiable drive to obtain the finer things in live.  I want the glitz, the glamour and the luxe...and what girl doesn't?!!

No offense, but please do not buy me red roses.  There is somthing cliche and tacky about a red rose (sorry ladies) and I think Valentines Day is ugly and I hate all of the red (barf).  Please buy me ivories, soft pinks, peaches, corals and yellows.  Oh and I would really prefer peonies (my favorite flower) if you want to make me a happy girl. Thanks!

quality over quantity

You won't find me at the center of the social network.  I get overwhelmed trying to maintain a long list of friendships and find much more joy in intimate relationships.  I put a lot into my friendships and prefer to have a tighknit circle of  loved ones around me.  That's just how I roll.

My favorite color is blue and it is evident around my home.  Blue couch, blue bedding...
  For me it represents tranquility and calm and I think I am drawn to it because reminds me of the ocean.  I love bold and bright colors as well but blue is my "go-to" color.  

i heart animals

I have always been a huge animal lover of all kinds, and I don't have any pets right now so you wouldn't know I do.  I grew up with many pets and I think animals were not only a resource given to us humans but they were a gift to enjoy sharing this planet with and we should have a love and respect for them. 

I would like to return the favor by listing out my favorite picks for the Stylish Blog Award (in no particular order).  This was tough because I have so many amazing bloggers that I follow in my blog roll that I couldn't survive without, but I thought it would be best to narrow down to my top 7.   I give this award to the lovely writers of the following blogs for two reasons.  One, I personally gain a lot of daily inspriration from their blogs and two being that I can relate to their tastes in interiors and I relate to their invidividual design style and I hear their blogger "voice" :
